Nelson / Crescent Valley

View Southern, BC on Wohlford's travel map.

We stayed three days in Crescent Valley at Dwayne and Fiona Lau’s place. Unfortunately, they weren’t home but we are hoping to meet up with them when we get to Nakusp. The first day we went to the sandy beach on the Slocan River. Extreme cold compared to Christina Lake but we went in quite a few times and floated down with the current a little ways. The next day we spent in Nelson, toured Baker Street, Rorie got her hair cut (very short)IMG_5105.JPG, walked down to the park on the river and put our feet in, had a beer at our neighbour’s (Cam) friend’s brewery accd2a70-e4e6-11eb-94f0-31609f02d2ec.jpg, ate at the Mexican restaurant (Cantina) with excellent margaritas IMG_5109.JPG, Thor found his restaurant IMG_4556.jpgand then headed home. Our last day, we had breakfast at the Frog Peak Café b1a12b40-e4e7-11eb-aeaf-9d238760f0a0.JPG, found the town of Appledale – we found it but it was pretty small (a friend had said we should go there……I am not sure why), it was only a few houses. Anyways, back to the trailer to pack up, I did a quick walk/hike to tour the Lau’s property and off to Nelson for groceries (bought some s’mores). We are on our way to Kokanee Creek Park.

Did you see the Boiler Room pub? In the bottom of the main hotel. I spent my youth there.
Kokanee Springs - I was banned from that golf course for swimming in the 18th green pond (collecting golf balls) in 1985. Can you ask if I can come back yet?
